About Quiltak and decoTak

QuilTak has been in the hands of quilters since the early 90’s saving time and frustration in the basting process.  We have evolved in several areas and changed our product to reflect the needs of our customers without changing our pricing or quality.

Our customers asked for colored taks, to make it easier to see the tak when quilting.  We first had the original clear taks and then added the color purple.  In the year 2000 we decided more color would be wonderful and added our current rainbow taks.  The colors, yellow, raspberry, blue and purple help our customers see on whatever fabric they are working on.  We also have added an extra needle in each starter kit at no additional cost.  More taks are included in all of our refill packages and our Starter Kit.  This basting system is the best on the market and our customer’s satisfaction is guaranteed.

We are now branching out in another direction providing new tools to the designer decorator.  We have four starter kits that will work with fabrics from silk to upholstery.  All of these tools save time and energy in their use.

decoTak Buttoneer The decoTak Buttoneer -- Lets you easily attach addendums such as floral, bows, and swags. Easily secures pleats temporarily or permanently
decoTak Lite The decoTak Lite -- is best used with delicate fabrics like silks, satins, polyester, and nylon
decoTak Tool The decoTak Tool -- is our original QuilTak tool, but contains 2 replacement needles and in addition to the ¼” taks, the package comes with ½” taks. Use this tool for broadcloth, lightweight drapery fabrics, raw silk and linen
decoTak Heavy The decoTak Heavy -- use with upholstery, denim, duck, canvas and heavy drapery fabrics.

All of these tools may be used in temporary or permanent applications, eliminating the need for pins and needle and thread.

We welcome you to visit the decoTak site and read more about these labor and time saving tools.   www.decotak.com

We have also added a Blog for your entertainment.  It allows Bari to write on various topics that interest her and hopefully the readers will get something worthwhile out of the visit.  Before we went with the current format for our QuilTak website, we had another one that encompassed many areas of art, travel, friends and workshops.  Our customers have missed being able to view those inspiring bits of information. The hope is that the Blog can host that aspect of our creative life.  Enjoy--  www.baripatch.com
