Coming up on
Winter Solstice tomorrow.. I remember when we lived in Nome,,Alaska, we were so excited for Winter Solstice
to come because it meant we would start having more than 4 hours of “sort of”
daylight.  We gained or lost 7 minutes a
day,, so the changes happened pretty quickly.

not nome

When deciding to
make a major move probably the top subject might be $$,, how to save, where to
cut back, what it will cost,,, etc, etc,.. I started with the fax line that we
rarely use, yet we have had it on a dedicated phone line for 20 or so years…
Yesterday our phone guy came out to make the adjustment.  Not long ago,, we would not be able to get by
with a business with only one line, but with cell phones and DSL it makes life
simpler if you look at what is changed and how it can affect you in a positive
way.  I got in touch with our QuilTak
customers and let them know they would need to email in orders,, mostly they do
anyway.  We will save $30 per month x’s
that by 36 = a little over a thousand $$ that can go into debt reduction or the
“Move to Maui” fund.  I think if we pay attention to the smaller
stuff, the stuff we have become complacent about over time,  and make the necessary adjustments,, we will
be surprised at the simplicity it brings and of course the $$ saved.
Interesting quote
for today…something to think about

Every bit of it is about economics. Every bit of it, without exception.
Everything about religion is about economics. Everything about politics is
about economics. And everything about economics is personal satisfaction.
Everyone is personally motivated to do the best that they can possibly do for
themselves.
